Emmerdale viewers are convinced they've figured out the gruesome fate of Anthony Fox's corpse at the hands of John Sugden.
The villainous Anthony (played by Nicholas Day) met his end earlier this month when his heinous crimes were brought to light. Fans will remember his arrival last year as the estranged father of Ruby Fox-Miligan (portrayed by Beth Cordingly).
As Anthony made himself at home in the village, Ruby began to unravel, evidently concealing something about her father. This even led to a tryst with her brother-in-law, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley).
It was later disclosed that Anthony had sexually abused Ruby when she was just 14 years old. Furthermore, it was confirmed that Anthony, not Caleb Miligan (William Ash), is the biological father of Ruby's daughter Steph (Georgia Jay).
Once Anthony's vile deeds were revealed, several villagers sought revenge, including Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller). Haunted by memories of his own childhood sexual assault, Aaron violently attacked Anthony.
He then left him for dead and believing he had killed him, reports Leeds Live. Aaron's partner John (Oliver Farnworth) then intervened to shield Aaron, disposing of the body but refusing to disclose its location.
However, it eventually transpired that it was Ruby who had actually killed Anthony, completing the task after Aaron had left. Several other characters, including Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) and Cain, have since become embroiled in the cover-up.
In the latest twist from Wednesday's episode (February 26), as Chas and Aaron considered surrendering to the police, John disclosed the location of Anthony's makeshift grave in the woods. However, with rumours swirling that John might be a covert serial killer, Emmerdale fans are convinced they've figured out the true fate of Anthony's corpse.
On an Emmerdale Facebook fan group, speculation ran rampant. One viewer questioned: "Who thinks John is lying about Anthony body?" Another suggested a macabre turn of events: "Knowing Emmerdale they will have John cut up Anthony's body and feed it to everyone in the village."
This theory found agreement, with another fan commenting: "That's sick but I wouldn't put it past them!" The conversation continued with someone else pondering the possibility: " Could you imagine..." Meanwhile, another was intrigued by the storyline, stating: "I kind of want this to happen."
