Dancers, music and stilt walkers will be among the Diwali celebrations taking place at Fosse Park. The shopping centre is hosting a “number of activities” and is inviting visitors to indulge in celebrations for the festival of lights.
To mark the festival, Fosse Park will welcome The Bollywood Belles. The award-winning group will celebrate the “beauty of Bollywood” with “unique and original performances” which will be held outside New Look.
A spokeswoman for Fosse Park said Indian stilt walkers were set to roam West Lanes during the day. Music on the day comes from DJ Rohan, who will be filling Food Central with a “modern fusion of eastern and western beats”.

Another dance organisation, Bollyqueer, the LGBTQIA+ affirming Bollywood dance group who featured in the BBC Three documentary Bend it like Bollywood, will also perform outside New Look. Meanwhile, the Floral Bench outside Volpo Lounge has been given a “Diwali makeover” too.
The spokewoman said the makeover creates the “perfect backdrop to add a pop of colour to your social feed”. The Fosse Park Diwali activities will take place from 11am to 3pm on Friday (November 1).
