A new report says the average children's party cancost between £300 and £1,000 but Emma Watts, a 34-year-old mum from Leicestershire, managed to pull off a Harry Potter-themed party for her daughter and her best friend for just £80. With her creative skills Emma managed to throw a Harryt Potter-themed party on a budget.

Emma said: "We're all Harry Potter fans. I thought I'd put a little spin on the party and surprise my daughter and friend. Fortunately for me, Temu had a lot of Harry Potter-themed things."

"The quality was impressive, especially considering the low prices. I did shop around." She added: "From Hogwarts House-themed drapes to DIY 'Have You Seen This Wizard' posters, everything looked fantastic."

Emma said: "It really looked like a professional event, but on a budget." One of Emma's favorite DIY touches was the 'Have You Seen This Wizard' posters, which she printed herself at home using stained paper. "My friend and daughter absolutely loved it! I don't think they could believe I did all that with little money plus in a couple of hours."

Emma recommends parents shop around, look for deals, and get creative. "Have a look on Pinterest for ideas, save them on your phone and then you can look on Temu for at least half those things to keep costs down," she said.
