Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has come to the aid of air fryer enthusiasts by offering up some scrumptious and straightforward recipes. The Channel 4 culinary star has divulged his method for creating perfect roast potatoes in an air fryer, promising they'll be "super crispy on the outside" and "gorgeously fluffy on the inside".

No fancy ingredients are necessary for this dish, which can easily be adapted to suit gluten-free and vegan diets. For this recipe, you'll need about six potatoes, peeled and cut into 2cm cubes, a bulb of garlic, a dash of vegetable oil, one to two tablespoons of mustard and the secret ingredient, runny honey.

Jamie revealed that just one unique addition could make your potatoes extra crispy. He said: "Let me show you how to make the best roast potatoes in your air fryer. It's super simple.

"With a little bit of chuffing up, and a little bit of squashing along the way." He assured: "This recipe is foolproof, super crispy on the outside yet gorgeously fluffy on the inside, and your friends are going to love it.", reports the Express.

Next, coat them with vegetable oil and season with salt, then take a bulb of garlic, slice off the top, drizzle with oil, add salt, and wrap in kitchen foil.

Begin by wrapping garlic in foil and placing the potatoes in the air fryer at 180C for 20 minutes. After this initial cooking, remove the garlic and turn up the heat to 190C to roast the potatoes for a further 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare a glaze by combining two tablespoons of honey with two tablespoons of mustard and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Once the garlic is cool enough to handle, squeeze the cloves into the mixture and blend well.

After the final roasting, coat the potatoes in the honey-mustard paste before serving. For an alternative twist, Jamie suggests: "Try tossing the crispy potato cubes with a handful of chopped parsley, a sprig of finely chopped rosemary, a handful of finely grated Parmesan and a finely grated garlic clove."
