Woyo Coulibaly has been handed his first Leicester City start but Ruud van Nistelrooy has otherwise chosen to stick with the same line-up to face Brentford.
After four substitute appearances, Coulibaly makes his full debut in place of the injured James Justin, slotting into a defence that has not kept a clean sheet in 21 outings.
But the other 10 players are those that started the 2-0 defeat to Arsenal. It means, for the fifth game running, that Jordan Ayew and Bobby De Cordova-Reid are on the wings, with van Nistelrooy opting not to pick more attacking options in Stephy Mavididi and Facundo Buonanotte.
City need the experienced campaigners out wide to be on top form alongside no.10 Bilal El Khannous and striker Jamie Vardy, with City having failed to score in their last five home Premier League matches.
At the back, Caleb Okoli keeps his place next to Wout Faes in the heart of the back-line after decent showings against Manchester United and Arsenal, with Jannik Vestergaard and Conor Coady on the bench.
The midfield pairing is again Wilfred Ndidi and Boubakary Soumare, with Harry Winks and Oliver Skipp only substitutes.
Luke Thomas is called up to the bench with Justin dropping out of the squad, but again van Nistelrooy has selected just three attacking substitutes in Mavididi, Buonanotte and Patson Daka, with free-scoring 16-year-old Jake Evans picking up a “little injury” and preventing the Dutchman from selecting him.
City (4-2-3-1): Hermansen; Coulibaly, Faes, Okoli, Kristiansen; Ndidi, Soumare; De Cordova-Reid, El Khannouss, Ayew; Vardy.
Subs: Stolarczyk, Thomas, Coady, Vestergaard, Winks, Skipp, Mavididi, Buonanotte, Daka.
