Facundo Buonanotte has been brought back into the Leicester City starting line-up as Ruud van Nistelrooy makes three changes to face West Ham.
Buonanotte had only started three of van Nistelrooy’s 13 Premier League matches in charge before Thursday night but offered glimmers of hope off the bench during the dismal defeat to Brentford on Friday and earns his first start in a month and a half.
He comes in for Jordan Ayew on the wing in a decision that will please City supporters. The biggest cheer of Friday night’s game came when Buonanotte was introduced in place of the Ghanaian.
The other two changes come in the defence. At right-back, James Justin is back fit again and comes straight back into the line-up to replace Woyo Coulibaly.
The £3m January signing was substituted at half-time on Friday night because he was at risk of a red card. Eager to impress, he was reckless in his performance, and has not done enough to keep his spot.
The other change sees Jannik Vestergaard replace Caleb Okoli at centre-back. The Dane had not started any of City’s last three games, since a woeful display in the 4-0 defeat at Everton.
Wout Faes and Victor Kristiansen complete the defence, while Wilfred Ndidi and Boubakary Soumare sit in front of them.
Bobby De Cordova-Reid plays on the opposite flank to Buonanotte, with Bilal El Khannouss in the number 10 and Jamie Vardy up front as City look for just a second win in 13 Premier League games.
City (4-2-3-1): Hermansen; Justin, Faes, Vestergaard, Kristiansen; Ndidi, Soumare; Buonanotte, El Khannouss, De Cordova-Reid; Vardy.
Subs: Stolarczyk, Thomas, Coady, Okoli, Winks, Skipp, Ayew, Mavididi, Daka.
