A mum-of-four kicked two police officers who were arresting her after her neighbour complained about the painting of a shared fence. Leah Bryan's next-door neighbour had become angry because Bryan was painting her side of the boundary fence and the paint was at risk of dripping through.
As the argument escalated, Bryan, 40, mocked the neighbour's amputated arm and threatened to snap her neck. The row took place in the presence of both women's young children.
Leicestershire Police arrived and as Bryan was being arrested for a public order offence she kicked out at the two officers, bruising their arms. At Leicester Magistrates' Court on Friday (February 28) Bryan appeared for sentencing having pleaded guilty to using threatening or insulting behaviour and two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker.

The court heard the police had been called to the neighbourhood in Aylestone, Leicester, at about 8.15pm on Monday, July 29 last year. In a statement read out in court the victim said: "It caused me great distress and I have been on edge ever since.
"My anxiety is through the roof. I'm worried actual physical violence could occur and that scares me." She added she was upset that Bryan had mocked her disability.
Bryan, who has a previous conviction for an assault on police in 2014, was represented in court by Mike Diez. He said: "She accepts she did use insulting abusive words.
"Miss Bryan was painting the fence and her neighbours took issue that the paint would go through the fence to the other side, which is a different colour."
Commenting on the attack on the police, Mr Diez said Bryan's daughter had become upset by the row and her mother's arrest and Bryan, who was in custody, was not allowed to comfort her daughter. He said: "Her daughter was clearly upset [on the police bodycam footage] and Miss Bryan asked if she could calm her daughter down and this was refused."
Mr Diez said Bryan suffered from anxiety and depression and had previously been a victim of domestic violence, which was an issue as one of the two officers who was arresting her was male. He said: "She does struggle with any male putting force on her because of her background of domestic violence."
Bryan was given a 12-month community order with 15 days of working with probation. She was also fined £180 and ordered to pay £75 each to the two police officers she kicked.
