Drivers were being warned of slow traffic in Leicester on Tuesday afternoon (February 18) following a crash. The incident happened at the junction of Narborough Road and Upperton Road in the West End of the city.

Issuing a warning to drivers, Leicestershire Police posted on social media shortly after noon, saying: "Please avoid Narborough Road with the junction of Upperton Road due to an RTC. Updates to follow."

There are no further details about the collision. Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said they were not in attendance, suggesting no serious damage to any vehicles.

Google Maps showed queues a few hundred yards long on the southbound side of Narborough road, as of 12.15pm today.

It's not too bad but it's probably worth avoiding the area. There are queues on Narborough Road in both directions but it doesn't look much worse that normal.
