A man has been arrested following a report of inappropriate touching in Leicestershire. Officers said the arrest came after they released information about an incident involving a teenage girl in Melton.
The incident, which reportedly happened at around 6pm on Monday, December 30, involved a 17-year-old girl who was reportedly approached by a man who grabbed her around the waist before kissing her on her hand. The teenager had been walking in the Drummond Walk area of Melton when the alleged incident took place, said officers.

In a statement issued on Tuesday (February 25), Leicestershire Police said a 38-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the incident. A force spokesperson said the man has been bailed while enquiries remain ongoing.
Officers from the Melton beat team said: "The appeal related to an incident [...] in Drummond Walk in which a 17-year-old girl was approached by a man who grabbed her around the waist before kissing her on her hand. Following our appeal a man has been arrested and bailed while enquiries remain ongoing."
