A new cafe is set to launch in the county this weekend, with the promise of delicious freshly-made food delivered to your door.
Poppy's is opening in Earl Shilton this Saturday, May 2.
Previously known as Bramley's Cafe, the new venue is being launched by experienced chef Alison Browett.
"I've been in the food industry since I was 15 years old," Alison told LeicestershireLive. "Two and a half years ago I took a leap and became a freelance chef and travelled up and down the country working in a variety of restaurants, hotels, bistros, gastropubs up to two rosette level. That was up until the birth of my now eight-month-old daughter, Poppy, who the cafe is named after."
Due to the current UK lockdown, customers won't currently be able to sit in the cafe, but a delivery service will be available and contactless collection can also be arranged.

From Monday to Saturday, you can order breakfast items such as the 'Belly Buster Brekky' (£7.95), traditional breakfast (£6.50), protein breakfast (£6.95) as well as breakfast rolls, baguettes, muffins and bagels.
These are available for delivery between 7.30am and 12.30pm.
On Sunday, between 12pm and 4.30pm, you can order a three-course Sunday lunch for £12.50. There's also a one-course option for £6.50 and a two-course option for £9.50.
Starters include homemade soup of the moment with homemade bread, chicken wings, or prawns and smoked salmon. Mains include locally sourced beef, turkey or gammon, salmon fillet or mushroom and lentil pie.
Desserts include chocolate brownie or fudge cake, homemade apple and berry crumble or lemon drizzle cake.
You can get a children's meal for £4.95 and children's dessert for £1.95, and for OAPs, a three-course meal is priced at £10.50.
Chef Alison and her kitchen assistant Sophie will be preparing and cooking all the food and will be sourcing produce locally where possible, to support fellow local businesses during the pandemic.
Talking about how the pandemic may affect the new business, Alison said:
"Of course the current pandemic is a worry and concern, and not just to Poppy's. However, it isn't permanent and I'm sure it will soon all be over and we can return to normal.
"I can be flexible with menus, can cater for all dietary needs and will be coming up with special offers and deals to accommodate all, listening to what the local community really wants."
According to Alison, the delivery service may well continue after lockdown, depending on how popular it. The cafe itself will also open for walk-in customers, with new and extended menus.
There are also plans for coffee mornings, mum and baby groups, room hire and outdoor catering.
Poppy's, at 11 Station Road, Earl Shilton, will open at 7.30am on Saturday, May 2.
Between 7.30am and 12.30pm Monday to Saturday, you can order by calling 01455 699065 or 07515849673, or you can order through Facebook messenger.
There will be a pre-order system in place on a Sunday with time slots for deliveries.
