Major employers including Nylacast and Hilton Hotel are set to recruit apprentices at Leicester College's annual careers event. The businesses are among more than a dozen local companies offering opportunities in engineering, construction and hospitality at the upcoming Apprenticeship Fair.
Employers from sectors including engineering, construction, and hospitality have confirmed their attendance at the event. The apprenticeship showcase will feature businesses like Adey Steel, UHL Pharmacy, and EMH Homes who are all seeking to expand their teams.
Leicester College's apprenticeships and careers teams will be on hand to offer guidance and support to potential candidates. Skills Coaches will also be available to answer questions about various opportunities.

Current apprentice Mackenzie Bloxham is completing a two-year Carpentry and Joinery Level 2 apprenticeship. "When you make stuff, it's nice to see the finished product," he said.
The event will bring together employers and potential apprentices across various sectors. Gareth Smith, director, said: "Hiring apprentices is something that we've always done. From a young age, we've grown the company to what it is today, and we always had a passion about bringing the next generation into the industry."
Visitors will also be able to speak directly with employers and training providers at the event. Rachel Hall, director for apprenticeships at Leicester College, said: "Apprenticeships are a powerful way to build a career while earning and learning. At Leicester College, we are passionate about helping individuals unlock their potential through hands-on experience and high-quality training."
The Apprenticeship Fair will take place on Wednesday, February 12, at the college's Freemen's Park Campus and runs from 1pm to 5pm. Tickets can be booked for Free on EventBrite.
